Re: Major Shift in Shooting
For sure, being able to take a break for 30 minutes and shoot air guns right at home is a big plus. For us it's not a matter of rain, this time of year. It's the snow and the cold that makes loading up the car and driving to the range for those 30 minutes of shooting before our hands get cold that makes the trip not too practical. And there's also the problem of wading through the snow and walking on slick ice when we get there, since no one at the range clears any snow. At home, we do clear a path through the snow so we can put up targets and, of course, we can take a break and walk back to the house to warm up as needed.

Not only going inside to warm up but also throwing some meat on the grill and shoot while it’s cooking.

I cant get the other link to work but it would be the Omega Trail Charger 4500lb portable compressor

These would be my choices if I was going to do what you are doing Gene.

Thanks Al. I’m not going to buy a compressor until I’ve shot whatever I end up buying a few times.BigAl52 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 31, 2021 9:32 pmI cant get the other link to work but it would be the Omega Trail Charger 4500lb portable compressor

We might buy a compressor, though. Probably a portable, direct fill to the gun, rather than a big unit for filling tanks. We have a utility light pole out in the yard with an outlet that sits right next to our shooting bench. Would work pretty slick.

Let us know what choice on a compressor you make. I think there are several of us here that would be interested.North Country Gal wrote: ↑Mon Feb 01, 2021 10:24 amWe might buy a compressor, though. Will do. We're looking, but it'll likely be awhile. I have a lot of other air gun projects in the works.
Re: Major Shift in Shooting
There are other compressors out there that are cheaper than the omega at Airguns of Az but I question the quality of them after talking to the AZ guys.

Re: Major Shift in Shooting
I very much trust Airguns of Arizona. That's where I buy all my airguns, even if the price is a bit higher than some other places and even though I have to pay a little more for shipping. Well worth it. Been a customer for many years. They do an outstanding job of checking every gun before shipping. Just doesn't get any better for quality of service.

Re: Major Shift in Shooting
I stopped in to the Showroom for Airguns of Arizona this morning. Visiting grand children in Mesa and had a few minutes to kill this morning. Nice place, smaller than I expected. They had some really nice rifles I had to decline the offer to handle any of them. Didn’t want to get bit by the gotta take it home with me bug.
Load on Sunday and Shoot all Week.......okay it's a Mare's Leg I will reload on Wednesday.
