GAMO Big Cat 1400 w/4x32 scope
I just ordered a Big Cat and should have it in a few days. My neighbor is tired of me stealing his. It may not be the most accurate rifle in the world but for $123 shipped I couldn't beat the price.

Love to hear more about it when you get it out and shooting. If it does the job on those wascily wabbits, it's money well-spent.

My rifle finally showed up today. I put the scope on it but haven't sighted it in yet. I hiked yesterday and today and am beat. I'm thinking tomorrow would be a good day for some backyard shooting.

I saw a rabbit out the window and took a shot but missed. I have no idea where it is shooting as it hasn't been zeroed yet.

I zeroed it last night but left it shooting high at ten yards. I ordered some heavier hunting pellets and will do the final zero for them. On a separate note I can't use the metal targets I now have in place as I'm afraid of ricochets. I have a bullet trap but don't want to place it here. I have another spot in mind but haven't built the back stop.

Yes, ricochets can and do happen with pellets. If the pellet doesn't flatten, completely, you risk a ricochet.
Some of the self-sealing plastic targets specifically warn against the use of pellets for that reason. Be careful with soft surface targets. Can happen with metal targets that move, too. Every great once in awhile, I'll get one with metal spinner targets. Stationary targets with hard surfaces are the safest because pellets always flatten. Any give to the target can cause a ricochet because the pellet fails to flatten and can glance off at an angle.

My bullet trap will eliminate any ricochets. The fence is at a slight angle from the covered shooting area but is currently piled with more boards so I can't shoot from there. That slight angle should deflect any bullets to the side. There is some give on the metal targets.
