Dan Wesson Revolver

Post by JEBar » Wed Mar 30, 2016 11:28 am

we have enjoyed our silver Dan Wesson 2.5" BB Revolver .... http://www.airgundepot.com/dan-wesson-1 ... ilver.html .... it shoots hard and is surprisingly accurate .... one difference we have noticed is there isn't a marked drop-off in speed as the CO2 cylinder empties .... you go from hard shooting to no shooting in just a few shots .... if we were to buy another, we would probably go with a longer barrel .... in size the shells are 357 caliber, a BB is inserted into the hollow point

That was one I was eyeing quite a bit. I liked the way it looked.

I also like loading BB's into the cartridges and then the cartridges into the gun. Lot's of fun.

Is the pull similar to a real pistol? Both double and single.

not identical but very similar .... close enough that I believe using it can improve ones trigger pull

That is the way my Beeman P1 is compared to a 1911.

one can't expect the same level of operation from a hundred dollar BB pistol that they would get from a real firearm that cost many times that amount .... that said, the do a pretty good job ..... as noted, I wish I'd of ordered a 6" barrel

Nice gun JEBar.

I have the Umarex Python. I have the plastic version that takes the 10rd plastic disks. I got 6 more mags from Sportmans Guide for <$10.
Pop those in so fast I can get of 70 rds in probably a minute.....LOL

And yes, they have this down to a science now where it doesn't drop off till the very end of the cylinder, the last 4 or 5 shots.

I have that same pistol. A lot of fun when I can't get to the range with the "big" guns.

I like the looks of that Dan Wesson. I had a .357 mag Dan Wesson with a 4" barrel that I got from my father-in-law. Passed it down to my daugther a couple of years ago and she was overjoyed to get Grandpa's revolver. But, I have been missing it ever since. Maybe that one would partially make up for it!

BTW I use the Umarex BBs in that gun. Zero come loose. The P-08 it doesn't matter

That is one very cool pellet pistol. Just don't point it at a Cop..... I have a CO2 rifle that looks like a Ruger 10/22. It shoots 12 Pellets semi-auto in a plastic cylinder insert. Already have had the cops called on me for shooting a rifle inside the City limits. I really think these real looking bb and pellet guns are a bad idea waiting to happen. Already been a couple kids shot because the Police thought they had real firearms.

How did I miss this thread?
Thanks to Army Scout for bringing it back up to the top. Cool looking revolver and you have plenty of "ammo" for it. I love shooting my "Colt" and have no intention of pointing it at an officer.
Load on Sunday and Shoot all Week.......okay it's a Mare's Leg I will reload on Wednesday. ;)

>>I like the looks of that Dan Wesson<<

Although it looks strangely like a Smith & Wesson. :-)
