9mm 124 grain versus 125 grain lead bullets

I have a dumb question, can the reloading data be used for both 124/125 grain bullets. I just bought some Missouri small Ball 124 grain RN but can’t find reloading data for any powders that I have on hand, but in looking in the Lee reloading Manual there are some receipts for 125 grain lead bullets.
Just checking with the pro’s to see if this is or can be done in a safe manner?
Thanks Bill

I'm no expert, but in my opinion, you can safely use the load data for 125 grain bullets with 124 grain bullets of the same type; those weights are so close as to be negligible. Start at the low end of the range and work your way up. Let us know how you make out.

I use Missouri Bullets in the 125 grain and reload the same as 124 hardcast-1 grain is negligible.

My 2 cents, when in doubt, start low and work your way up.

Carver, what powder? Also, like above posts, 1 gr won't make any difference. I have the Hornady, Speer and Lyman manuals.

I have on hand Universal and Clays. So I thought that I will start at the beginning of the chart and work my way up slowly. For some reason components are hard to come by locally. I had ordered bullets from Missouri Bullet and took 5 weeks to get them.

Carver; using Universal and 124gr RN, start with 3.8. Max is 4.3gr. OAL will be right at 1.125" Clays is a great powder, but, it has a real narrow window between start and max loads. I believe you'll get along better with Universal.
