I ordered 300 new Nosler 44 S&W / Special (blem) brass casings from Shooter's Pro Shop .... add them to the 100 once fired cases purchased last week, we should have all we need for a long time to come

Son able to snag 1lb each of IMR3031 and IMR4895 yesterday as we loaded up last of W748. We also grabbed 2 boxes of Hornady 155 gr. Match kings. Prices up about $10/lb., which was better than we expected.
Still no primers or brass. Good for a while.

BUMMMMMMMEEERRRR ..... the order arrived but it didn't have 44 Spl, it had 40 S&W Spl .... don't know if it was my error in ordering or not ... I have a call in to Shooter's Pro Shop to see what can be worked out

Finally received the dies and bullets for my 6.5 grendel loading. The only powder I could find was IMR4198. Not high on the happy list for grendel loaders, but on the load data lists. It will do for now.

Got a batch of 123 grain fmj bullets. Again, not what I wanted, but what I could get. Will wait for a hunting bullet.

My first effort at necked casings. Got lube and getting ready. Should have a ladder workup ready by end of the week.

I’ll post results when I get to shoot this beauty.

Funny little side note. I decapped the brass a friend gave me. 28 pieces. I do this while sitting in my recliner, comfort first. Apparently, and I’ve experienced this before, I tip my hand press on occasion. For a week after these operations, at random times, I find a spent primer in the carpet. Just an occasional glimpse of brass shining.

Anybody else find this happening?

Only once Colfisher around 1979, I am banned from leaving the man cave to do anything with guns and ammo !

I want you to know I wear the pants in the family, my wife just tells me which pair to wear each day, and which leg to put on first.
