Hey Al, good to hear from you. Glad to see that you're diving into shotgunning. It is fun; just another aspect of shooting. Enjoy!

Thanks Tom. Last year in Texas I got into skeet shooting with the guys down here and have just been doing more of it this year. Its humbling shooting skeet. Just bought a CZ Redhead Target in 20 ga. Love the gun.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

I have not had any luck finding shot in any LGS. I have to order it online. I have ordered from rotometals (right now they have (2) 25 lb bags of 7.5 Eagle Magnum for $140.00 with no shipping fees. I have also used Powder Valley, Precision Reloading and Ballistic products for shot and wads.

$55.00 for 25 pounds is a pretty good deal.

Are you able to buy once fired hulls from your gun club? Unfortunately for me I am so rural I have to drive an hour and a half to get to a trap/skeet range. Most of my trap is from my Champion launcher on a wobble base.
What do you figure you have in loading a 20ga shell RnG? I just did some math( ya I know thats hard to believe) I come up with .34 cents each. Im seeing shells for sale close to that. This reloading shotgun almost isnt worth it.

I only load 12 gauge, and the math is beyond me (I even used a calculator, rubics cube and a metric slide rule) and couldn't figure it out.
Same thing in Az, for whatever reason shotshells are a heck of a better price than metallic.

Even at that, I would rather store empty hulls and components than a case of shot-shells and load as I need. Anyway, keeps me off the streets at night!
