after considering the very limited number of options available right now, I ordered 100 once fired .44 S&W Special ===> https://eastcoastreloading.com/44-s-w-special/ from East Coast Reloading Supplies to load for use in our Roughneck derringer

I put together 20 test rounds of my 357 Mag. load. My regular load is a hard cast Missouri 158 hr. bullet with 6.2 gr. of Universal and a mag. small pistol primer. Since I'm almost out of mag. small pistol primers (only 200 left) I replaced them with small rifle primers. (see topic: http://henryrifleforums.com/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=11371 ) As soon I can get to the range, next week, I'll see how the velocities compare between the magnum primer and small rifle prime. I plan to test this from both the Henry BBS and the Rossi R92.

When I'm done I'll report back.

100 once fired 44 spl brass arrived from East Coast Reloading Supplies .... as advertised, all cases were cleaned with spent primers still in place .... per enclosed shipping data they paid the USPS for 2 day shipping :

Mailing Date: 5/6/2021
Est. Delivery: 2 days
Service: Priority Mail (R)

the shipment arrived on the 10th .... guess that's about as close as one can expect :?

I made an order from Midway USA Thursday the 6th and it included 100 T/C Cheap Shot 50 caliber bullets with sabots. It came the cheapest way and was on my front porch by 2:30 PM. That was like in the Old Times for USPS. Maybe times are coming back.

Finally cleaned up the loading area. I had left it a mess. Tools everywhere!
Not loading lately. Been turkey hunting and salmon fishing and not loading. I'll be back to it though when the current distractions abate a bit! :)
