Opinions On A Simple Reloading Accessory

I often weigh ALL rifle charges when I reload and I measure them with my standard Ohaus scale and top them off with a 'dribbler' to the correct charge and set a typical powder funnel on the case and dump the powder out of the little tray into it.
WEll - I got to thinking a funnel STAND would make this so much easier. If the funnel were mounted solidly in a stand - kinda sorta similar to a powder measure stand - all you would have to do is put the mouth of the case up into the supported funnel and dump the charge - the funnel stays secure.
I 'stumbled' on this idea while loading some .30-30 this afternoon.
It takes another 'hand' movement out of the equation.

Reminds me of filling sand bags for bunkers and emplacements in DaNang. We used cut off road cones as funnels, upside down in slapped together wood frames.
Some pics of life there in '65/'66.

Great idea on the funnel stand. I'm thinking you could use a heavy wire to mock one up first. Something like a heavy coat hanger.

Spent about 5 minutes on a mockup for my funnel stand - a piece of scrap wood, hole drilled & clamped to my powder measure stand swivel arm. Seems like this will work well.
I don't know why I didn't think of this before. Probably because it's too simple!

WOW, I wish the post office had that kind of response ! Thanks for posting. Looks like a very well thought out bench that is a pleasure to work off of.

The 'L' shaped shelf thing is half of an old entertainment center I recently got from a neighbor who was throwing it away.
I thought it might work as a shelf/stand on the desk and it has actually. It gave me some more storage and workspace without taking up any room.
