Anyone using the starline brass? If so which case length are you using. Loading for a new Henry side loader 38-55. Barnes bullets.

I use it and I have been using the shorter length. 2.080. I also have some of the winchester brass but I have a couple of winchesters that are using a .379 and .380 bullet. The winchester brass has a thicker wall and it wont chamber in those guns. Thats where the starline comes in as its walls are thinner and work just fine in those guns.

No it wont Ed. With a .379 or 380 bullet in it its very tight. Both a buddie of mine and I have a couple of the commemorative model 94's. The starline works great in both.

Thank's, didn't know if you had tried the longer stuff. I have loaded ammo from dominion and jamison, and they are the shorter version. Also have some old Winchester, that are the longer version. haven't tried them in the rifle yet.
