Haven't even shot them yet - but hopefully will this weekend.
No chrony - but the 100 grainers clocked in at 1700 FPS through a friends one time.
Never felt the need to own a chrony - always loaded for accuracy & performance & never felt the need to 'know' the speed of the bullet.

having one certainly isn't a necessity but I find it gives me some very helpful info .... I use one for two reasons .... first, to ensure that the loads I develop consistently generate very close to the same muzzle velocity .... a marked lack of consistency with light loading our 45-70 has been an issue .... secondly, knowing the velocity and ballistics coefficient enables me to run the load through a ballistics program to determine the bullets trajectory .... that allows me to sight one it at a short range and know very close to where it will hit at longer ranges

The bullets are Speer and 12 grains of Unique.

I loaded some of those with 26 gr imr 4198 and they were screamers. I was shooting steel targets out to 400 yds easy.
