If this is in wrong forum, please move. But, here goes. Ever since I bought my BB Brass in .357, I've had a dickens of a time getting the plunger tube to open and close on that small notch to secure during firing. Is there a simple "fix" for this? I do not want to send it to Henry just for that. It shoots too good. Hopefully, you folks here will get me thru this small issue.Thank you and I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. Might need a thinner rubber o-ring behind knurl knob. Which might translate into an o-ring of smaller diameter that gets stretched thinner when installed. A good hardware store will have drawers of different sizes. Take your tube with you so that you can try out different sizes.

On mine, Initially I didn't even know there was was o-ring there. It blended well with the knurl knob.

I have the same problem with my BBB .357. I also thought it might be the o-ring but I haven’t looked for a replacement. It’s very difficult to lock the tube closed as is.

I would call Henry. If it is a simple 0-ring fix they will surely send you the proper O-rings to fix it, or whatever else is required. At worst, you will have to send it in. Either way, you will get it fixed. I see no harm in trying a thinner O-ring, but why not get it fixed properly?

D0-It-Youself o-ring replacement can be done 'properly'. No more skill than changing the toilet paper roll. No gunsmithing skill required.

Heading to the hardware store shortly. Dang, Alabama and Auburn for the Iron Bowl. Can NOT miss that. Hardware store later I guess.

I had the same problem. Tried all the fixes suggested on forum. Finally sent it back. They replaced the tube and all is well. Had a very bad experience with customer service which is not the norm for Henry. Save yourself the aggregation and send it back.

Can you post a pic of the exact problem you are experiencing ?

+Update!+ I did call Henry this morning. Talk about great CS! Mentioned what is going on and they are sending me a new magazine tube. That is service. Wasn't expecting that. These are the type of things soon to be repeat customers remember.

Just about. Had to settle on a powder weighing/dispensing system, and just received the RCBS Chargemaster Lite, but, with the holiday weekend, haven't been able to even unbox it yet. Will get to that this week and likely start in on some 158 gr 357 rounds! All this stuff is taking up more room than I imagined, too, so I'm scouring for another workbench/table.

That should work fine. Let me know when start loading 158's. I've found a couple good loads with those XTP's and 2400 powder. Working now on some plated 158 RNFP's.

I don't reload, but I have a box/bench that has an adjustable top.

Nice, Mags! Looks very handy for lots of things.

Particularly for working on the rifles. Gun tools in the top drawers. Chemicals in the bottom drawers. Rifle stand on the top. Adjustable top so as to work on a piece at the right height, minimizing back pain.

Maybe work for your reloading too. Lots of storage for cases, powder, dies, press parts, etc.

Picture is weird. It's bigger than it looks, wide and deep solid wood top.

That particular model is discontinued. It was available at Home Depot, where they have similar versions in different sizes.

Yep, Home Depot seems to own this niche of adjustable top tool chests, vs. Lowe's, Amazon, etc. This one is great, but $600 kinda blows the doors off of what I was thinking...
