Interesting Brass Color

A few years ago I was given some old .32 Winchester Special brass. I don’t know the age of it but I suspect 1930s or later. Anyway I finally got around to depriming & reforming it to 30-30 and after liquid tumbling & drying and setting in the open in a shell tray it turned to a really interesting deep, yellow color and has not tarnished at all. Normally in my climate I don’t experience much brass tarnishing but typically my modern brass will loose its lusture after tumbling but this stuff has not. I’ll get a pic up later.

Interesting, maybe they used a different combination of alloys or whatever back then.

Cool stuff. I've noticed that different brands of brass have slightly different colors after tumbling.

Is that brass you are using old balloon head brass?

Appears to be all solid head - but some of it is the 'small stamp' REM-UMC style.
