Exactly, some folks just don't take the time to do the math, and compare. They see the SALE tag and jump on it. LOL.

Anything off is a sale, but clearance sale is absolutely overused. Clearance sales should be at least half off..................

What boils my blood is when online retailers gouge there customers. Was checking on getting a 5 lb jug of Trail Boss for cowboy action shooting. To my surprise, Midsouth Shooter Supply does not carry Trail Boss in 5 lb jugs no more. They sale it in a 9 oz bottle or a 2 lb jug. They used to sale it in 5 lb jugs but not anymore. I buy all of my reloading components in bulk to save on shipping and hazmat fee's. 2 lbs is the biggest you can buy now from them. To get 5 lbs.....I'd have to buy (2) 2 lb jugs and (2) 9 oz bottles to get what I want. That's more than 5 lbs, but that's what I've have to buy just to get 5 lbs of Trail Boss. In the end, I've have to buy more powder and spend more money than I'm willing to spend. The total would almost be $175 just to get 5 lbs of Trail Boss from Midsouth Shooters Supply.

The last time I bought Trail Boss (about 2 years ago - Black Friday Sale), all it cost me was $105 (1 5 lb jug) + $4.66 (Hazmat - divide by 6 jugs = $28) + $3.33 (Shipping divide by 6 = $20) = $113.00 for 5 lbs of Trail Boss
Granted, I ordered (2) 8 lb jugs of Varget, (2) 8 lb jugs of CFE223, (1) 5 lb jug of Trail Boss and (1) 8 lb jug of CFEPistol.

Midsouth Shooters Supply probably thinks us reloaders are a stupid bunch that can't add or read. Let alone research prices on the internet. I'll be buying my 5 lbs of Trail Boss from my local gun store.

Brownells just had a .01 cent hazmat sale and there prices are good I picked up some primers and powder at a very good rate and .01 cent hazmat.

Just went to the Brownells site they have a sale on now if you buy so much they give you a small discount and free shipping. But I checked there on Trailboss and those 5lb containers of it have been discontinued by IMR. So if you find any better grab one because I dont think you will be able to get them in the future. Al

Thanks for that CT I didnt know Hodgdon had done that. Ive never used it so Im not up on it to much. I do know a lot of people like it. My powder shelf is full I dont need another one to try. Al

My pet peeve is someone telling me I'll save money by buying something. They tell me the widget is normally priced at $10 but if I buy today I'll pay $7 and save $3. My response is if I don't buy I'll save $7. They never seem to have an answer for that.

Another think I don't like is free shipping. Shipping is not free, what they mean is the shipping is built into the price.

Why not just buy three 2 lb jugs ? Thats closer to the 5 lbs you want by two ounces.
