Didn't get much done

Post by Owly » Sun Apr 03, 2016 10:52 pm

...or should I say
I didn't get much reloading done this weekend. A late spring snow storm dumped on us Friday night and I woke Saturday intending to spend the weekend loading and building up my stockpile of 357 mags, 38 sp, 44 mags, and some 45 LC for my father's carbine.

No so fast :o

Wife had other plans. Spent both days moving furniture, going to the hardware store to buy paint, and painting the livingroom. :(

... at least I managed to squeeze in 50 rds of 38 Special +P using a healthy dose of Herco powder during a brief reprieve between coats.
Back to work tomorrow.

Anybody else's weekend plans get derailed??? Hearing someone else's sob story might make me feel better about my 'lost weekend'.

I have found those "honey do's" come with good benefits.

Last Sunday I cast about 150 wadcutters for my .357 and a few .32 caliber w.c.'s . This Sunday I sized and lubed them and got 55 rounds of brass primed and ready to load. I think this time I will use Bullseye powder.

My plans didn't get derailed, but I wish they had.

I had two trees cut down. The core was rotting out in both of them and they were very close to my house. Had a professional come in and get them on the ground last week. Then a friend (my age, 63) and the 13-yr old young man next door came over this weekend and helped me clean them up. The 13-yr old helped because his mom wanted the wood, so we cut it and hauled it over to their house and then stacked it.

As my friend said when we were done, "My brain thinks I am still 30, my body is telling me I'm not!"

I definitely did not get any reloading done this weekend.
