Ordered 357 Brass

Post by BrokenolMarine » Sat Mar 25, 2017 10:21 pm

I have brass. Buckets of it from shooting competition and teaching... problem is.. the five gallon buckets contain 9mm, .38, .40, .45. I even had a couple with 223 and 12 gauge hulls. No 357. When I got my Big Boy Carbine, I figured i'd shoot thirty eights. I had plenty, and had brass. Trouble was, my Big Boy Carbine prefers the magnum cases. ;) This may change after a break in period, but for now, it prefers that longer case length for smooth function.

I posted a question about brass on another forum after seeing the prices at Bass Pro and the rest. A forum member was kind enough to send me over 100. I offered to trade them out, he declined.

Then I found Diamond K, and placed my first order last fall for 250 cases. Boom, three days later. Bright and shiny in my mailbox.

Diamond K Brass has just about any caliber you could ask for, and the ship same day if you call early. Every order has come with extra cases, and they are all clean and ready to load. So when I got an email this week offering a military discount, I ordered 500 357 cases. Two days later they were in my mailbox, 517 bright shiney 357 magnum cases, ready to load for the Big Boy Carbine.

* I am in no way affiliated with diamond k nor do I receive financial gain from promoting their products. I am impressed with both the quick and friendly service, and the fact that they insure their counts are always slightly over, never under. Been there, done that.

:P

Hmmm... seems like a pretty good deal. It's not easy to find .357 brass at the range, as most shooters seem to keep their brass and reload it themselves.

You can get brand new Starline cases for their used prices. You usually get them within 3 days.

And I just noted on my last order, they ship from Henry Street. Imagine that.

I did not know that. Starline at both Bass Pro and Cabelas came in 50 round packages, was expensive... and the slots on the brass rack were always empty. I'll check the starline website.. thanks. :)
