Reloading 22s?
I saw an ad for this in Backwoodsman magazine today. http://22lrreloader.com/design-details/
Interesting. I've always heard you can't reload 22's. But when doing a search it seems several companies make the stuff for it.
Anyone here ever done that?

beyond interesting .... do hope someone will give it a try and bring back a report
Re: Reloading 22s?
I have no personal experience with reloading 22 nor do I have the desire. The various 22lr reloading systems have been reviewed elsewhere on other forums with less than stellar results. The process sounds quite tedious and when you're finished what do you have?... marginally reliable loads with a pre-dented rim. All rounds must be clocked correctly in the magazine or cylinder to ensure a firing pin strike on a fresh part of the case rim.
Never really understood the appeal or interest in reloading 22lr. True, ammo availability is still inconsistent, but when you do find it, although more expensive than it should be, it's still the cheapest options for bulk plinking.

Re: Reloading 22s?
I think it would be safer and a lot less trouble to get a Big Boy .357 and reload for it.

I don't think I'll reload 22s anytime soon. But thought it was cool.

It would be nice to have at least the ability and know how. Never know what kind of post apocalyptic scenario one might find themselves in in the future.Squatch wrote:I don't think I'll reload 22s anytime soon. But thought it was cool.

There's a guy in North Dakota with a really interesting YouTube channel called Logcabinlooms.
He recently acquired a .22 reloading kit and has posted a couple of videos on his progress with it.
