rainy day, what to do

reload some 44's

first two pictures, 452 practice loads .... 240 gr. TCFP Missouri Bullet Company http://missouribullet.com/details.php?p ... &keywords= ---- CCI Large Pistol Primer ---- 7.2 gr Bullseye

second two pictures, 50 practice hunting loads .... 240 gr Nosler JHP ---- CCI Large Pistol Magnum Primer ---- 23.8 gr H110

we still have 100 rounds of HSM Cowboy Action ammo that I hope to burn the next time out, all I really want from it is the brass

we do not stock full power hunting loads .... we load the same components with new brass right before we need them

really enjoying our Hornady Lock-N-Load press

I can't think of a better way to while away a wet Wednesday. Or Thursday. Or .............

I keep threatening to load up ahead. Maybe 400 or 500 rounds of each. I always end up making it up the day or two before our weekly range trip. I do get something of a break during the cool months. We usually alternate between Skeet and the indoor range. Skeet is a little more expensive, but it saves me an hour or two loading time. Not that I mind the loading time.

Me, too. For good or otherwise, I do the same thing. It feels like they are elements of the same experience; reload, shoot. Today, my wife asked if I was going shooting tomorrow. I haven't reloaded yet, so --- nope. Maybe Friday.

our oldest son can burn through a couple of hundred rounds rather quickly in his AR .... it takes me a good bit longer with my Henry lever action and Ruger revolver .... I like to keep a pretty good stock of ammo on hand and enjoy the time spent reloading .... that's a pretty good combo ..

About four years ago I burned through 5,000 rounds of 9mm in just a few hours in a STEN. Gotta love Montana.

Interesting firearm.

It was a blast to shoot. We shot the STEN, an M2 Carbine and a real M16A1 that day.

STEN or any other machine gun --- "Interesting firearm" is putting it mildly!

not rainy today but pretty cold .... our oldest son needed to load some 38/357 practice ammo and brought his 4 & 6 year old daughters with him .... naturally, they wanted to help .... 500 rounds later they've gone back home .... am sure we couldn't have gotten it done without such good help ....

I'm sure that's one visit to Grandpa that the girls won't forget in a hurry!

they were really very serious about helping and I enjoyed every second of it ..

Had our share the last few days, yesterday was really bad, garage and basement got all wet
But it was warm, and I got a few rounds popped out !! Reloaded ALL the 445 SM brass with 240g MBC Cowboy Action TFP and 33g H110 (44rds),
90-357 Max, 180g MBC JFP and 20.2g H110
Also finally got my friend's 45 Colt rounds made.
10&10 250g XTP 8.7g CFE Pistol and 24.0g H110 Quite curious to hear how the H110 45s work out, but I don't have one

H110 and W296 have both been very good for us .... really can't tell any difference in performance
