Was told.....I couldn't use any more of the wife's pans or tupperware anymore for my guns and reloading hobby. OK....I understand....she's the boss in the kitchen.

Well....I've changed my mind on how I do some of my reloading habits and have decided to start powder coating my lead boolits. Since I can't use one of her old pan's to heat some lube wax to remove it off the boolits. I have to come up with a new way. As I speak/type....I have some 158gr LSWC soaking in paint thinner which was made from mineral spirits oil. It's working.....but it's a slow process. Once done, I'll have to rinse them off and then dry them in the humidifier........that I use for drying my wet tumbled brass cartridges.

Any of you guys do anything like this or have any ideas that might speed up my process...???

Shoot the wax lubed as is, and start with unlubed bullets. That's how I would do it.

I've already stripped off all of the wax lube. I have no more lead boolits with wax lube on them. The paint thinner worked like a charm. Took a while....but it got the job done. Powder coated boolits shoot allot cleaner than the wax lube. Plus...they don't smoke as bad either.

I have gone through the same thing. When I discovered how well powder coated bullets worked I stripped all of my cast of their 45/45/10 tumble lube. Put them in 1 qt mayo jars covered with mineral spirits and let stand for a day. Shook them well. Then drained them and washed them with a heavy duty degreaser household cleaner . It sounds much more involved than it was. I'm talking of thousands of bullets here, maybe 5000.

I made a tumbler out of my wife's Tupperware Cake Carrier. Worked great, but she did have a little problem with me using it. 20 years ago and I still hear about it once in a while!
