Main symptom is powder falling out the empty primer pocket on your loader!

How much toilet paper does it take to make a primer?
Pistol or rifle? Large or small?

I'm thinking large rifle. Do you think a double roll will do?

Remember, it's not how many guns you have. It's how many bullets you have.

You only need enough to hold the fuse in for a revolver.

How come for the last 6 months or so at the reloading warehouse websites, there seems to be increasing availability of reloading powders and bullets, but very little availability on primers, especially large pistol and large rifle primers? In my linear way of thinking, the shortage of factory loaded ammo must be diminishing and that is probably the reason why Midway, Grafs, etc. are back in-stock on many popular bullets and powder. But, if that assumption is correct, why aren't primers showing up at these warehouses?

That is a great question I wish someone could address, especially the price three times what is was three years ago. Military production for the U.S. is down, don'/t know if Ukraine should not affect production.

I've been actively chasing LGS for primers for almost 2 years. In my experience the availability of primer types has come in waves. In the first wave there was a lot of small rifle, really a lot. Then it was nothing for several weeks. Then a moderate amount of large pistol and large rifle that didn't last long. Then a long time of nothing. Then a spattering off and on of small magnum pistol. Then a brief period of nothing. Most recently quite a bit of small pistol and small rifle and a little bit of large rifle and large pistol. I hope to check again on Tuesday.

Mags, I really haven't even looked much, but I'm fortunate in that I have fairly good stock in the 4 main ones I use.
Back on the 11th, had to go back and check date of pic., ;) but while on a lunch break we were in the local Academy.
They had some Win. small rifle, and that was the first time I had seen any there in a good long while.
They were $8.99 per 100, with a limit of 4.
I have around 5k of those, so I left them for those that need them worst than me.

It’s hard to pay $8-10 for a hundred primers when you have some sitting that you paid $3 for. I have been holding off buying any thinking the price would come back down but I’m starting to think that won’t happen. :(

I hear ya Hatch, most of what I have cost me between $32-$40 pk.
Early this year I did add 3k to the stock at $100 per K.
I'm hopeful that they will come down some, $50 would still be reasonable.
Not sure they will fall that much, but like I said I'm hopeful.
