I was lookin for a target a couple days ago when Dave was showing his 32 colt.
But, I never found it but I came across this one from last year.
I was getting ready for deer season, this is my first cf rifle I've had it since the early 80's. And I ended up using a different 30-30.
So I pulled the rifle out for the photo.

Wow, some nice shootinā there, Vaquero!!!
Iām guessinā that gun likes 170 grainers better than 150s, huh?
To the point of bumping the shoulder back a bit less than most dies are set to do, I found this video tonight:
https://youtube.com/watch?v=Qd583ZMYncE&feature=share
Bumping the shoulder of a fired case back only .002ā-.003ā is really more of a bolt rifle thing, as the guy in the video says. But he does point out that it works for auto loaders also when bumped back a few more thousandths (.004ā-.005ā, I believe he said). Since our lever riflesā work āsorta similarā as far as feeding goes, it seems like a thing that couldnāt hurtā¦ā¦
While a I still need to shoot some more to make a decision for myself if it helps my rifleās accuracy, I canāt help but feel that only working a fired case shoulder back in the neighborhood of .005ā-.008ā has gotta be better for brass life. The way Lee recommends setting a sizing die worked my brass back a lot! Something to consider, I guessā¦ā¦ā¦
