41 Mag, 210xtp
Alright I'm lookin for some hunting loads for the 210 xtp.
I tried searching but it's a crap shoot on this site. Yes.
I've had this one since they first came out back in '17, I've put a Number of rounds through it.
But never a single jacketed round, 100% cast.
My oldest daughter wants to learn to hunt and for her purpose in her woods I think it will be perfect.
Also not a heavy recoil especially in the BBS with the cushioned butt.
Any help would be appreciated.
H110, and 2400 would be what I prefer. I'm lookin for data not ammo.

Underwood has it in stock, unless you're just looking for reloading data. It's what I use for the last several years. Excellent deer getter.Vaquero wrote: ↑Tue Oct 25, 2022 3:31 pmAlright I'm lookin for some hunting loads for the 210 xtp.

Randy, in my Lyman #50, .41 RM, 210gr Hornady XTP, 2400 powder:
Start: 16.0gr @ 1143 MV
Max: 17.8gr @ 1262 MV. This is for a handgun load.
Hornady book #8, same same bullet, powder:
Start: 16.0gr @ 1100 MV
Max: @ 20.0gr @ 1350 MV. Again, this is for handgun load.
When I go to the desert this Thursday, I'll ask a bud who loads for .41 mag in a Marlin.
Hope this helps a bit.

Re: 41 Mag, 210xtp
I have several manuals, including the 41 mag. version of the One Book/One Cal.
Almost all data for the 41 is regarding handguns, that's one of the fine points of reloading.
A slight tenth or two up or down can make all the difference.
As most anyone who has spent much time around firearms will tell ya,
They can be very similar and different at the same time.
Just thinking some one could safe me a few components.
Ya know a ballpark figure even though the variations aren't much.
I even have some Blue dot I can play with.
Had some pretty good luck with it and some cast also.

Sorry Thought your first post said you couldn't find anything. I hadn't seen your later post yet.

Re: 41 Mag, 210xtp
I have some experience loading the 210 XTP and will show the results below. I started with H110 as that was all I could get and on the advice of Big Al I switched to 2400. Better results with 2400 but the H 110 wasn’t horrible. I found the lower velocity 2400 load grouped best but the upper limits did fine. I don’t plan on using my 41 for hunting so I didn’t load with velocity in mind more for accuracy. But I’m sure even the lower velocity 41 mag XTP’s would do a deer justice within the proper range.
Here’s pics of my load devolvement targets showing the components and the charges. If your pic is too small to see the info let me know and I’ll type it in.
First up the H110.
Here is the result with 2400

Re: 41 Mag, 210xtp
Thank you Hatch, that's what I'm talking about.
Good starting points,
I have more 2400 than H110 anyway.
