180 grain hard cast .357 magnum
So I have Lil Gun powder and Grizzly Gas Checked 180s
Starline brass and small mag primers.
Hard to find proper info on the loads. Does gas check load more like jacketed bullets?
I found data on Hornady 180 bullets and Nosler 180 bullets but that's it and don't want to base powder measures off of HPs
Firearm used will be a SW 686 revolver with 5" barrel
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Not an expert on this, but I believe the short answer is no. A lead bullet with a gas check is still a lead bullet against the bore. The gas check provides a better seal to prevent the hot gasses from melting the bullet and leading the barrel. I believe using jacket bullet load could put you at risk of being over safe pressure levels.
Just my 2 cents. Not an expert on gas checked bullets.

What Paul said is spot on.
As to Lil gun I've never used it.
I checked my Lyman's Cast book and it doesn't show any data for it.

Re: 180 grain hard cast .357 magnum
i am seeing a starting load of 13 grains of lil gun for 1279 fps, and a max of 15 grains for 1422 fps. This is a revolver load
For rifle I have no load data for lil gun i see one for H110 and H4227 The only other 180 loads i have are for sierra bullets and none of them are lil gun
I have no clue on the gas check.

I got this data from NOE bullet molds.
For Lil gun powder.
Start load for .357 mag is 13 grains 95% case fill 25k psi.
Max load is 13.7 grains 100% case fill 30k psi.
Link to the mold I have.

Look at Reload ammo.com they have multiple loads for 180 cast bullets with a gas check. You can get a feel for all loads.

I load 180GC for my marlin and have fired a few through my 686, not much use on data though as I am using one of the Aussie made powders.
Similar charge weights to what they list for jacketed loads and similar velocities with no issues.
