I finally scored, after a long wait I found small and large pistol primers. I got 2000 small from brownells and a couple of weeks later got another 2000 large from brownells. Had to pay dearly but some are better than none.

There is primers out there at other places. But the price of them is on average 13 cents. There are some places that have buyers clubs that offer free shipping. Some places limit you to 1000 primers which I understand.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Locally primers are still scarce as hens teeth. BigAl is right about the 13 cent each. I just bought 1000 large pistol primer and by the time you pay shipping and hazmat you are right at the 13 cents number. This past weekend this topic came up at my pistol match and the comments were the same. Some of the big box retailers have them occasionally, but that is hit and miss. For me the nearest retailer like this is 70 miles away, one way. I'm just not ready to make that trip and come up empty handed.

I hear that Paul. I'm heading to my LGS tomorrow to look around; not expecting any primers. May pick up a pound of Universal or Red Dot, if they have it.
