Was checking my LGS on their web store and it showed they had some in stock. Good powder to use for pistol loads and it will give relief on my supply of Unique. So stopped by this morning and grabbed 2 lbs. at $48.99 per 1lb. container. I had some funds left on a Birthday gift card so 2 lbs. cost me 50 bucks. Will check back there in a few days and see if any left.

Never used any of that forty.

I wish some Bullseye would show up around these parts. All the stores here hasn't seen any Alliant powder for 18 months.

A good powder that's a bit slower burn than Unique and good for more speed within pressure limits. Have good luck with it in 38 Special and mid level 357 Mag and .44 Special too. The days of 25 buck a pound pistol powder are gone.

At the lgs the other day, he still had some powders under $40.
But weren't anything I was looking for, so I'm not sure exactly what they were.

$50 per pound, yikes.

I use Power Pistol in 9mm and I am currently working up a load for it in 32 H&R. Neither takes much of a load so a pound will go a long way.

I just stopped in my local shop today and he had about 20 - 1lb bottle of Power Pistol on the shelf. I guess it's what the distributors in our area are getting. Price was about the same as Forty''s.

I use BE 86 from my 357 loads. Bought 8 pounds of it. I dont think I'm ever gonna use all of it that's for sure.
