light Lever Silhouette Loads

I have been working on some loads for my 30-30 and .357 for Lever Silhouette. 357 loads can be light can be light as even 22 mags will usually nock over the critters, so I am looking for relative accurate loads. The 357 lead loads for my BBS have been hit and miss with the 140grn Mo. hi tec zingers. I had some success today with 6.8grns of CFE pistol. I kept getting flyers, but most were hitting within 1.5" at 50yds. I am not sure what is causing the flyers. My thoughts are that it could be the lead build up on the rough bore or my cases not being the same length. I noticed that different brands were slightly different in length, so the crimp is probably different. I don't have a lot of experience loading with lead but am learning. I think i will break out some new Star Line cases and take away one of the variables.

I have found a couple of good loads for the 30-30. Taking a lot of advice from the net about 7.5grn of Unique was giving me just over an inch group at 50yds. with 165grn Mo bullets, I was surprised that 7.3grn of CFE pistol gave me the same grouping only the group shot lower. i am hoping these light loads will knock over the chickens and pigs.

Never tried the cfe pistol in any rifle calibers before.
Now 9.5 grs of unique over a 174 gr cast works really well in one of the Winchesters.
