Lehigh .45 Xtreme Defender 120 gr. bullets to test....
Want to try these thru my .45 ACP guns especially the new BBR with it's short barrel. Saw where Midway had some available and they should be here mid week. They have loading data on the Lehigh Defense website using powders I have. From what I have seen on Youtube tests they seem to work very well. Have to get in the shop today and melt down a block of Clear Ballistic.

I am a big fan of these bullets, I carry the Underwood factory Xtreme Defender .327 load in my SP101 4.2”. One thing I do not like is that they are sharp, I am not sure about using them in a semi auto. Loading them into a mag with your fingers is painful, and make very sure they feed correctly. The 220 gr Xtreme Penetrator .44 Mag bear loads I carry will feed reliably in the BBX, but not as slick as a regular RN or JHP, every now and then there is a slight catch as they go up into the chamber. Not enough of a hesitation to affect anything, you just notice it.
OTH They are VERY nice to reload, and they look very sexy with nickel cases.
It is a little confusing, the bullets are called xTreme Defense by Lehigh, who makes them, but the Underwood factory ammo is called xTreme Defender.

Thanks for posting, that was great. I have heard these bullets described as “barrier blind”, that shows in the video.BigAl52 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 27, 2022 11:26 amhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UV_1zXdDf4Y&t=728s The Iraqvet 8888 did this test on the 45 acp load you ordered Forty. maybe you have seen it.
