Walked into my GREAT LGS this morning to see if they had any 45 ACP ammo but all that was there was small boxes of SD ammo and a bunch of it.
Saw a pound of Red Dot so grabbed that and went to check out. As soon as I put my card into the scanner I heard one of the employees walk by saying he had to stack up the primers that had just come in the door. Primers????? I hauled over to that area I had just left and could not believe my eyes with a nice stack of Winchester Large and Small Pistol and Rifle primers!!!!! This is what I walked out with for less than 300 bucks today and what a deal considering the times we live in!
Going to let others have a chance but I will go back right after lunch!

Nice score forty! Maybe you should go get that lottery ticket! 4K primers; that is awesome. I'll be playing with that Red DOT i bought last week in short order.

Finished lunch and went back and bought 4000 more! $59.99 is only 20 bucks more than what I used to pay for them 4 years ago so I say buy them when I see them! Prices going up April 2022 on everything ammo related.

I could live with $60/k, like you said, I bought 2k at $40 ea., Summer before last, that same Spring I found 3k @ $36.99 ea.
Recently got 2k SRP for $80 per.
Hope some trickle down this way before April.

No...there was no limit but I left some for other folks. I am in good shape for a good while. I will go by again tomorrow and see what is left.

How much was the powder Forty. Ive been looking for some IMR 4350. Finding it on GB and its 50 a lb. Im gonna sub some of the other powder I have for 243 to make it work. 50.00 a lb is more than I want to pay right now.

The Red Dot was $42.00 for the 1 lb. I saw 3 there and that's all of the Alliant powder they had. They will be getting more in soon I think.
I had 3 1/2 lbs. already so just added one to the supply.

Stopped by the shop this morning and hold on guys.....they restocked the primers again! I picked up a box of Winchester LP and SP primers. Counted about 20 boxes of 1000 on the shelf which is about what they put up. One thing for sure I won't get caught again being close to short on primers!

Forty, they must of all went over there, still none here.
I called two small shops, and went by Academy. Nada.

Don't know how much they got in but I will pay a visit during the next week or two and keep an eye on it. Could be a good while if they get any more in.

Great score! At a very good price. It would be nice if I could find some in my area.

Yesterday I did a 3+ hour drive, I picked up a brick if CCI Large Magnum Pistol primers and a couple lb's of Universal.
Another not so local gun store has some CCI Small Rifle Primers in stock, it's $40+tax for hazmat shipping or a 5+ hour drive . . . .

$60 a K is my new limit on price for primers. That's twice what I was paying just before this madness started. I did pick up some LPP at $40 per K in 2020. Still looking for some SPP and SRPs. I'm OK for now on SPPs, but lower than I'd like to be, and the only reason I need SRPs is I unexpectedly acquired an AR in .223/5.56 around Christmas time. Stealth gloat.

Well.... I hate to break it to you guys.... but my son was in a local fleet store yesterday and they had 1000 boxes of CCI small rifle primers for $6 a box.... ?????
He triple checked with the gun counter guy and he assured him that was the right price so my son bought two boxes for himself and one for me.... I gave him a $10 and told him to keep the change. Somebody screwed up somewhere.

Was that 6 bucks for a 1000 count box or for a 100?
