Had a guy tell me today his uncle used a lot of reloader 7 for 44 mag. Anyone ever hear of such things. I find no data about it.¿¿

Sure it wasn't for 444 Marlin? I've never come across any recipes for Reloader 7 for 44 mag either.

I'm with Jake on this one.
I've used a couple of Pistol powders in rifle calibers, but
never a Rifle powder in a Pistol calibers.
And don't remember hearing of anyone else doing it either.
I did have a friend who thought he was loading Rel 7 in 444 cases, but
turned out to be #7, and he blew a nice Marlin all to pieces.
And very luckily didn't get hurt.

I'm with you and Jake on this one. I've never seen a rifle powder used in a piston cartridge.

Randy, I'll bet your friend never makes that mistake again. Glad he didn't get injured, though.

Paul, it is hanging over his loading bench as a reminder, but
like you I'm pretty sure he'll never forget that experience. :o :D
Said he had both powders sitting on the bench and just picked up the wrong one.
He says now he Never has two powders on the bench at the same time.

You ain't kidding Randy. Never two powders on the bech at same time. Disaster waiting to happen. Your friend was lucky, other than his rifle. Damn!
