I was reading where some people use 38 spl cases for these due to feeding issues. Is this an issue in the Big BoySteel?

I assume you are talking about Missouri Cast Bullets 180gr pugnose bullet. I had no issue with those feeding in my Henry 357 as long as you were at 1.6 or less OAL
