Well with the high humidity and 85-90 F temps lately it's time to do some inside work like reloading.
Will break open a new box of Hornady 158 gr. XTP and try a load using 13.6 gr. of Alliant 2400. A mid range load for this bullet that some like the accuracy of and see how it performs in my Henry and revolvers. Should be in the 1500 FPS range out of the rifle.
Spring has sprung. Get out and shoot your Henry

Smart move Forty. I had to run some errands today and decided to take my old Jeep with no air conditioning. The air is so thick with humidity you could cut it with a knife. Even with the windows and side curtains out it didn't make a difference. By the time I got back, 2 hours later, I was dripping. Hope your load turns out the way you want.

Forty, I did the same. Sat in air conditioned house playing bullet maker. I have loaded that same medium power with same bullets. The Henry loved them, and my Ruger was pretty easy too. I have only a little 2400, a decent amount of w296. My latest load used IMR4198. A rifle load for my Grendel. Again, medium load for learning how to shoot this new rifle. You feel good after putting all the gear away and look at those shiny pointy copper bullets.
Peace, y’all.
