I started reloading in October, 2014 and have kept a spreadsheet for all my components since then, including sales tax and hazmat fees. Using an average cost of powder, primers, and bullets, my .357 mag reloads range from 17 cents to 34 cents each. 38 special rounds cost 15 cents. All my brass was saved from factory ammo and, of course, it's a labor of love so the cost of man hours is priceless.

This is the investment I have in equipment.

The price of HP 38/231 seems really high. They charge that much for that powder where you are at?

Thanks. You're right. The formula in the spreadsheet was wrong. The avg cost I paid is actually $31.42.

Same here. If I ever did keep track of the cost, I'd probably faint!

I put everything on spreadsheets. I had a spreadsheet of my firearms and then saved an older version by mistake. By the time I figured it out it was so messed up I started from scratch.

When I had my C&R by law I had to keep a written ledger. When I let the C&R expire I stopped keeping the written ledger and of course it was only of C&R firearms.

I think I shoot lots more so don’t really care!

If I knew how much I'd spent on reloading equipment & supplies since 1967, I'd probably never fire another shot. Some things, I'd rather not know.

I do a lot of horse trading it's hard to tell.
