Hogden Powder

Post by Shakey Jake » Fri Mar 26, 2021 1:51 pm

Just got lucky and scored 4lbs of Winchester 296 directly from the Hogdon site. I should be good on powder for a long time now.

Thanks for the heads up. They now sell powder directly to consumers and they currently have a good selection.
Hogdon Powder wrote:While we now sell direct-to-consumer on our own websites, we prioritize our shipments to our traditional sales channels to maximize powder availability at sporting goods and gun shop retailers everywhere.

We place limited powder inventory for sale on a regular basis on our website. When we are sold out, we are sold out.

We do not take backorders and our Tech Services team cannot take orders via email or phone.

The maximum order quantity of any powder SKU is 5 and we will only accept one order, per customer, per calendar month.

Hodgdon Powder Company will pass through the $19.99 per package HazMat charge from UPS to the customer.

Hazmat is a tough pill to swallow, but you gotta do whatever it takes. My total Shipping was $39.40 including Haz., about the same as a lb. of powder.
My thinking was, I need some, and no telling when I find anymore available. No guarantees anymore. So, I bit plumb thru the bullet,
and did it, LOL.

Just noticed they have some 4227 but I've got 2 lbs of it on hand and can't order from them for another month.

Right, you can only order 5 per customer & once a month IIRC. That's not bad tho, gives more folks a shot at some powder ( pun ).
Bottom line, I'm tickled, which don't happen often.
