I recently introduced my neighbor to reloading, cartridge was 38 special. He would like a Lee loader (whack a load) I call'em after showing him my 30-30 Lee loader which was my first introduction to loading. Can't find a 38 Lee loader anywhere. Amazon's sold out, there's a NIB one on eBay for $100

. If one y'all see one on a back shelf at your LGS I'd be much obliged.. I did try to talk him into a hand press or a used single stage but NO

I have one in 44, but no 357.
I haven't seen very many in a good while.
Congrats on the score, much better deal too.
Win, Win.

I have one in 357 that was bought back in the mid 60's .... I used it for a couple of years before buying a Rock Crusher .... it worked and would stimulate your heart beat every now and then when I'd set off a primer

Jim I used mine a little while before I got setup for some real reloading,
I never had any issue.

I was 18 or so back when I started hand loading and a Lee Loader .... every so often I'd have a primer go off when when hammering it into place .... there is no doubt the fault was mine, not the Loader's .... after a few detonations it became apparent that they wouldn't cause any damage .... no real problem
