I was in my local reloading store , a couple of days ago, looking for bullets, powder, primers, just seeing how the stock looked ,
wasn't any. I did see some 45/70 brass, but wasn't familiar with the Mfg. It was Prvi Partizan. made in Serbia. Never heard of it,
was afraid of buying any.
Finally found it on Graf & Sons site, then looked it up further. Reviews were not favorable. Said it was lighter & thinner quite a bit over normal brass, likely require annealing, had trouble getting the brass to grip a bullet.
Just wondering, if any of you folks had heard of, or experience with this brass.

No, not really, I just always look to see what, if anything is available.

Thanks, Al. I've got 100 pcs of brass on order from Precision Reloading & 100 Hornady bullets on B/O from Midsouth, so I'm in good shape. I'm always on the lookout to see how the shelves are looking, usually empty.
Those odd ball imports caught my eye, never heard of them. Curiosity killed the cat, and it takes a shot at me now & then.

If this PPU brass[Serbia], I got a hold of some in .357 and it has been fine. Probably 3-4 loadings so far. Can't speak of anything other than that.

I have used this brass in 8x57 Mauser a while back. Didn't have any real problem with it. I inheirited
a K-98 Mauser that my uncle "reccointered" in North Africa desert. He was with Patton all the way to Germany during WWII. Sorry, my spelling is off today.

Can’t help you with your brass question but I do see PPU ammo around. Funny, I took this picture a while ago just because I was surprised to see 30-30 in stock.

The reviews I read were for 45/70 brass, no other cal mentioned.
Some said they had to run thru the sizing die several times before it would hold a bullet. So other calibers may not have the issue.
I read enough that I'll stay away. Don't need any now anyway.

I have used Privi brass in .303 Savage for about 30 years. .303 was the original cartridge for the Model 99 Savage lever action rifle which was introduced in 1899. By the early 1980's that cartridge was obsolete, and the most dependable way to insure a consistent supply of .303 Savage ammo was through handloading which I started to do around 1985. Once fired Winchester and Remington brass was available for a couple of years, but when that dried up, only new Norma brass was availble and that was quite pricey. In the early 1990's Graf & Sons began stocking Privi .303 brass at a considerable savings versus Norma brass. I purchaed a bag of Privi .303 Savage brass and have been using Priivi brass ever since. I load it with 28 grains of Accurate powder below a 308" diameter, 180 grain Hornady Interlock, round nose bullet which is a stout load for that caliber. Accuracy results are about the same as with Norma brass. I get 8 reloads from the Privi brass, and then I toss the cases. With new Privi brass, I full length size each case twice, and trim once prior to reloading. Neck tension has not been a problem.
