Anyone ever load these? Sierra #8350 Friend of mine gave me a box of odds and ends while back I went thru it and found these. 357 170gr FMJ. I'm aware hunting bullets expand but maybe these are to blow a hole thru Yogi end to end. Might load them one day for the henry when I've got spare brass.

I would say target, but one should make a good pass through on the deer we have here.

Target. FMJ RN has a problem with deflection if it hits bone, so may not penetrate to vitals for that reason, in addition to the lack of expansion. I would not use them for hunting, nor would I shoot steel targets with them because of likely unpredictable ricochet. Most ranges won't allow them either for the same reason.

I wouldn't go quite that far. They are good for watermelons, cantaloupe, pumpkins, and assorted other fruits and veggies.

I checked the Sierra website and this bullet has been discontinued. If you shoot at an indoor range with a rubber backstop you will be fine. Several years ago I was shooting outside at a dirt bank in the winter and my bullets were ricocheting off the frozen dirt. I immediately quit of course and haven’t shot at frozen ground since.

Ya it will pass through 2 Chevys. One because it went through it the second one around it because the new Chevy 2500 and 3500 are so ugly. Try that bullet with some 2400 I bet it will shoot like those pugnose bullets
