What did you do at your reloading bench today?
Re: What did you do at your reloading bench today?
Same here, Moe. Got a load of 45/70 in the Thumblers tumbler, got another load waiting. Guess that'll take care of most of the day.
Wish that sun would show it face & warm up. Got things to do outside.

Re: What did you do at your reloading bench today?
Well this morning didn't go to good at the bench. I got my once fired 5.56 brass tumbled and ready to size and recap. It was all going good during set up, so I ran a few through the old Rock Chucker Until the 4th primer got stuck in the shell holder. So I got it out and used a small a scribe to push the primer out. Whew that worked, so I ran another through the die, and the same thing happened. So I did the same procedure, but this time the 1/8" diameter snap on scribe went into the bottom of my thumb. The only thing that stopped it, was the bone in my thumb. Bleeding like a stuck hog. Dang that hurt. Dang hole wouldn't stop bleeding.
To top it off the decap pin snapped off. Wonderful. I noticed it was loose before I started. My fault for not checking into it.
So I've got a new pin coming, but my reloading has come to a screeching halt, and my dang thumb hurts. What a morning. To top it off, we had 3" of rain last night, and my steep driveway is thrashed beyond what I can do to repair with just my snow plow. Jeez! When it rains it pours I Reckon.
Cheers All!

D - Might I suggest you install the same safety device I just did on my bench? Picture below
You can change the brand name to your preferred safety beverage.

Dang, Moe, if it wasn't for bad luck you wouldn't have any. Hope that thumb doesn't cause you any problems, other than the extra
hole. Hang tough, bud.

Got a partial bottle of Makers in the frig. Hardly ever partake of it anymore. Think I've lost my taste, LOL. Good stuff, tho.
Other than that, I did get 126 pcs of 45/70 brass tumbled clean today. Bought 50 pcs of new Win. brass, it will need a bit of a trim.
Guess I'll start on that tomorrow, had enough for one day...........

IMR was there as I loaded a few 25-20's
And I'm about to load those colts here in the next couple days, ah maybe.
Suppose to be in the 80's this weekend and no dang rain.
Me and the scooter will be spending some time together, you can take that to the bank.
Dang the bench.
I don't like to load up to much, just in case something were to happen.
Be easier for the wife to sell components than loaded ammo. jus' say'n.
