We were loading in volume shooting competition. I did put Every case thru the chamber gauge before it went into the bin as good to go. 
Overly dirty or overly weathered cases, (after cleaning,) got tossed, not taking the chance on them being weakened by exposure. These days, I tumble smaller batches, and can be more selective. I load a lot of nickel cases and they really polish up.
