What did you do at your reloading bench today?
Re: What did you do at your reloading bench today?
Ordered 4 lbs. IMR 4198 from Hogdon direct. today. Thanks to a heads up from Jake.
I rarely ever buy a rifle, but when I do, it's a Henry.

Got 100 pcs Starline brass, trimmed, lubed, sized, flared, & in the wet tumbler. Can't do anymore until my bullets are shipped, which have been on BO since Jan. 12.
Edit: Cleaned & set aside til bullets arrive.

I'm going to load some .223 Remington later today. I've got about 250 small rifle primers left. I'm going to load about 25 I think.

My bench has been cleared till further notice ( no bullets). Did make the rounds of my online suppliers today. "Out of stock", the standard result. The only bullets available were the Hornady Flex tip stuff & the dangerous game type. Not a lot of T-Rex sightings here.

Well I finally scored a brick of Federal small pistol primers. The LGS had 60 boxes and posted on the Facebook page this morning. Paid through the nose vs. pre-COVID, $89.99, (OK, $90)! Also picked up a bottle of WST which I use for 45 ACP at a more reasonable $25.
Popular rifle powder is still scarce around here. That's getting to be my pinch-point now.

Was in my LGS in Lethbridge and they are well stocked. Lots of ammo and shelves of primers. Pistol and rifle. Cleaned him out of lead balls and T7 powder.

Out of curiosity, what were they asking for the primers?RanchRoper wrote: ↑Sat Apr 03, 2021 4:52 pmWas in my LGS in Lethbridge and they are well stocked. Lots of ammo and shelves of primers. Pistol and rifle. Cleaned him out of lead balls and T7 powder.
