Found some Remington 45 ACP brass at Mid South Shooters Supply and placed an order. Some of my brass showing it's age....get it while you can!
Checked with Starline and they don't have any.

I loaded up 100 rounds of .44 Mag 240 gr Cowboy Load for quiet subsonic plinking with my X carbine. A max load of Trailboss gives 850 fps out of this short barrel. With the linear comp on the muzzle it is “almost” hearing safe.

I used my new Buchanan Precision Machine portable press to give it (and my arms) a workout. It is a pretty useful press, stunning to look at, but the way it works, bringing your palms together in front of your chest as if you were doing “power prayers”, is fatiguing. I have peripheral neuropathy and I can sure feel my sore chest muscles.... I plan to stick with my old Rockchucker at home in the future. The BPM one is for travel and for showing off. I really love the Hornady L-N-L quick change system - this is my first exposure to it, and all I can say is WOW. I love it. I am going to install an adapter bushing in my Rockchucker ASAP!

Anyway, I used new Starline brass, because I found it at MidwayUSA for less than $22 per 100, which makes it more affordable than once fired range brass. The CCI primer 100 count box had a price tag: “Payless $1.39”😳

Remember when ammo and reloading supplies could be found at Kmart and drug stores? I guess I have had those a while.... my wife wandered by while I was doing my prayers 😬 and I showed her the sticker and told her these “penny primers” were selling for more than a dime each online. “This is why I stock up”. She gave me a smile and a pat on the back.

Hear John, I actually still have a 1000 Lg Pistol primers from when I started loading that I paid $22 for.
The last I bought this past spring was $36 + tax.

I borrowed a set of 9 mm dies last week and loaded some 147 gr Hornady XTP's for the Solo.
It won't shoot any of the lighter weight bullets worth a darn.
So I am content for a minute on those.

RP, radar shows rain just leaving your area, and heading for me.
Looks like a wash out for outside work, may start back on some 9mm myself.
I rarely ever buy a rifle, but when I do, it's a Henry.

Yep been raining most of the morning.
I hadn't saved any 9's, so not much empty.
So, Al will appreciate this, I walked out on the back porch and unloaded the Ruger of some FM's.
Then loaded those back with the 147's.
Been looking around for some dies for myself now. :o
Never thought I would ever need any.
Things change though.
I may load some 223's here in a bit.

Hope ya need the rain cause it is definitely on the way, but it was mostly a lite rain.

So far, it's just a drizzle. Just enough to keep me inside. I've got a set of Lee 9mm dies I use, 4 die set, carbide sizer & factory crimp dies. Works well for me. "If" you can find any. Everything is scarce now, as you know. Good luck bud. :D
