It has served me well over the years. I loaded ten thousand rounds a year or more while still shooting state level PPC competition, and was doing well enough to place in at least the top five in my class at the end of the year. I would win enough for the wife to whine about dusting the awards.
My mentors sit and load five to fifteen rounds at each increment, with each powder, and pour over stacks of targets making copious notes. They would make calculations, compute group size averages, and determine bests loads for each gun, for each bullet, and enjoy every single minute of the process. They would be happy when new powders were released and they could start all over. It's probably how they became Master Class / NRA Distinguished Shooters with nearly everything.
Me? The loads and guns are capable of more accuracy than I with 231... so I'm good with it.
