Dillon 550C
Re: Dillon 550C
Thanks guys I am still debating the cost v/s using my Redding t7 and buying extra turrets. I don't know that I need the speed.
Re: Dillon 550C
Creedmor sports sells a turret shim kit and machined turrets.
The shim kit,

The upgraded turret.

I use the lyman t8 shim kit on mine, but standard cast heads.

Re: Dillon 550C
I never worried too much about speed, but accuracy. I found loads for each caliber that were more accurate than I was, set up each caliber's tool head for that load combination and stuck with it. Served me well for years.
You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.
I don't look back at the things I can't do anymore with regret, I just look forward to the things I still can.

Got the turret shim kit in the mail today. Would be using cast heads.
Re: Dillon 550C
I ordered the Dillon RL550C with a couple extras from Midway USA. The press will come next week. I am also going to set up the Redding T7 and split the dies between the two presses. Will be taking down the Classic Lee Turret press to make room on the bench. I guess I will try to sell it. It is a decent press but I think I will be more comfortable with manual presses.
