Starline .44-40 brass ......

Post by fortyshooter » Wed Mar 20, 2024 11:27 am

I check on the Starline line site once a week or so and the .44-40 brass always shows RED which is out of stock. When I call they say we just ran some 2 weeks ago and it is all sold out. Somebody is getting it but it is not me or HSM ammo company either. I called them to see when they might be running 44-40 again and lady said if and when they get the brass in they have a 300,000 piece backorder!!! :o So wonder who is getting the brass before the commercial ammo loaders? Glad I have the 250 rounds I have loaded but don't know how many reloadings the thin brass will handle.

Try ET Brass their website shows they have some in stock $20/50. Starline and other manufacturers take care of their retailers first before they sell directly to the public.

Nice find there forty.
I stumbled across them last year, picked up 200 25-20 primed brass cheaper than anyone else has un-primed.
At the time they were the only one who was even offering any.
Very nice people to deal with also.

I'm just trying to pay it forward. Randy pointed me to ET Brass and I was able to find what I needed. Good folks there.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

My sentiments exactly.
Single shot and muzzle loaders are one thing, but trying to get all that holy black out of all the crooks and crannies of a lever gun.
No Thanks.
