H010 needs feedin!
Anyone tried Unique, 3031 or RL-7 with these #1 Buffalo 405gr - Hi-Tek and #2 Buffalo 300gr- Hi-Tek?
They are not gas-checked but does the coating seal as well?
I want to work up some 300gr JHP loads with RL-7, 8208, Varget and 3031 as well. So any info on those is appreciated.
The site should be fixed. We show secure now, we should have a favicon and the picture aspect should be better.

Yes I regularly load and shoot both the 300 gr and 405 coated MBC bullets over Unique. But these are light low recoil loads. Not much over 1,000-1,100fps. Great fun at the range at 50 yds. Decent accuracy as well. Be careful with Unique. it takes up so little space in the shell you can easily double, triple or more load one case.

The load info I use is a link in the 1st post of this thread.

I've also been pleased loading light loads with the Berry's plated 350gr rnfp.
For a little more speed you might try 5744. I've read good things but haven't built any with that yet.

Re: 45-70 Missouri Coated 300/405gr
I keep Unique powder on hand but have never used it in the .45-70. I do use the MB 405 grain #1 buffalo bullets over 30.0 gr. of H4198 powder. This is a high end trapdoor load and I have had no leading problems. I have used heavier loads with no leading but my shoulder prefers the lighter loads. I do not have a chrony, so don't know the fps. These are accurate loads for me out to 100yds. My eyes aren't good beyond that with iron sights.
