RCBS JR 3
I took an old piece of 2 x 8 white oak.
Attacked it with a belt sander. So it looks like this.
Drilled a couple of holes and mounted the press with a couple of 3/8" lag screws. I need two washers. Then I clamped it to the workmate. Now it all looks like this.
I can remove it from the table. The table folds up. It can all be moved easily.

Nice set up, but I really like the RCBS Press !

Used one of these for years before I bought my Dillon.

I like the use of a Workmate .... please report back as to how it holds up to the stress of resizing cases

I will report on the effectiveness of this setup. It will be a while as I don't have all the essential pieces yet. I have been getting what I can when I have a few extra $'s. Having to stay within a budget can be a drag.

understood .... all too well understood .... I believe you will be well served by coming up with a way to mount your powder measure to your board .... while you have time, it would be well worth the time and effort to determine how/where to mount it so that it will lend itself to working smoothly with your press

Re: RCBS JR 3
I thought about getting a piece of 2x4 and clamp the measure to it then it can be clamped to the work bench. I also looked at a stand that can be clamped to the table. I also need a shelving unit for organizing everything else.JEBar wrote: ↑Tue Dec 31, 2019 11:43 pmunderstood .... all too well understood .... Re: RCBS JR 3
excellent ideas .... looking forward to following your progress in putting it all together
Re: RCBS JR 3
My first press was the RCBS Junior, used it 'til a few yrs. ago, and bought a Forster Co-Ax single stage press. Love that thing, so much easier & conveinent to use. Still have the old RCBS tho, for back up & guess, LOL. Many a pull on that old guy, got the job done.
I rarely ever buy a rifle, but when I do, it's a Henry.

Here is a pic of my bench, might give you some ideas. FWIW The other pic didn't work, new pic.

Re: RCBS JR 3
what size Work Mate do you have .... how does it seem to be standing up to the torque of resizing brass

Re: RCBS JR 3
The biggest drawback to this setup is the table and shelving unit are on the right. The workflow would be smoother if it were on the other side.
