It's a cool place indeed, My brother and I stopped there on our Sturgis run last year. Stayed at the Bullock hotel and had a few beverages at the number 10 saloon.

Stopped there in 2013 when I was at the Sturgis motorcycle rally. Deadwood is an interesting place and Wild Bill's grave is a must see.

I spent more time in Deadwood than Sturgis in 2006. I guess I wasn't a hard core biker. Although, I rode my bike there, not like about 40% of those trailer queens.

Grew up in the area, when we had company and we’d take’em to Deadwood (BC), before casinos. Left momentos on head stone, my brother and I shot a rattlesnake and cut rattles off earlier in the summer and left them on the headstone!

Been there done that, and happy I did. We spent 2 months just outside of Rapid City, and made many day trips. I loved it up there. I'd like to go back someday.

One of the best day trips in this area is a drive through Spearfish Canyon in the fall

Your right, im glad i said yes when my wife suggested we take that trip. Man, after that I wanted to stay there. My Lab insisted we stop for some swimming. We found a nice turn out, and boy did he enjoy himself.
RIP Big D (Diesel).
