More Weight on the Scale for Nascar

This isn't meant to be political, just want to point out a double standard by Nascar. I was never a Mike Wallace fan (really like his brother Kenny though), but most have probably now heard that he got suspended by Nascar. He made social media comments similar to one person, but he got suspended and the other person didn't. I've lost it for Nascar, but to what extend are they trying to drive more fans away?

Seems like there are few things these days that aren't connected to politics in some way.
NASCAR & NFL are headed that way at warp speed.

Yep not watching that anymore either. College football about the only thing I like to watch.

NASCAR fans have traditionally been extremely loyal to sponsors. They are now getting an entirely new fan base. I suspect the new fans will not be loyal to brands like the old ones.

As a sponsor would you like to see two fans that bought your product or ten that didn’t.

I hate the NFL now days but I’m addicted to watching the Seahawks. When I needed a plumber I did not call Beacon Plumbing which is a Seahawk sponsor. I purposely found someone else.

I'm sure some of the fans have turned off some sponsors ( me included ). Maybe not so much as to car Mfg. are concerned.
My first car was a 1956 Ford Crown Victoria, 312 CI T-Bird engine 4bbl. Been with Ford ever since, always will. Has nothing to do with NASCAR tho.
Way too many owners & others, throwing their back out bending over to kiss someones butt. Cowboys owner, Jerry Jones, made the statement earlier before the season started, that anyone, no exceptions, that didn't stand for the Anthem would be fired. Couple of weeks ago he crawdaded & changed his mind. I have zero respect for someone that doesn't stand by what he said.
2nd. the Chiefs & Texans game was a football game that turned into a BLM showcase.
On & on. None of this belongs in sports. JMHO ( and I'll stick to it ).

as was the case with previous discussions of this matter, perfectly fine conversations headed into areas we do not go on this forum.... to ensure that doesn't happen again, this thread is locked
