Found the correct replacement front tire/tube for my 1968 Schwinn Orange Krate bike and got that installed and gave the whole bike a
polish job. One thing I found out was the rear slick is a Uniroyal Top Drag which the guy who restored it 30 yrs ago put on it. I bought it from him 30 yrs. ago. Found out that this was a "Made in the USA" original replacement Uniroyal tire and is one of those unobtainiums now...very rare!
Has some small dry rot cracks and will not use it for riding purposes. I did find a new repop replacement slick for it though...made in Taiwan which is only new stuff out there.
Anyway will keep the Krate in the confines of the home now...stable temps.

Yep this was the first in the series of Sting Ray Krate bikes reflecting the popularity of drag racing and muscle cars of that period.
Other models like the Apple Krate...Pea Picker.. Grey Ghost and so on followed into the mid 70's.

Now if I could find a 1967 Sting Ray Fastback in Coppertone like I had back then which I have the sales ticket for!

That's a cool rider you have there Sir Henry!! Mine is one of those Beach Cruzers we bought for my son back in the early 90's.

I wouldn't call it lazy...but you can just put off a chore until the next day or the next.... All the days just run together and go by quick!

Rifle rack across the handlebars would work for that Henry Carbine!

Ha! Not intentionally, but, sometimes works itself in that direction. I had one of those "Stingrays" waaay back when.

I can’t believe he blew a red light at 50 mph! The video after that one was good too.

Hope he had a truck to take him home. That was a long downhill.

I can't imagine seeing a Stingray bike flying by me doing 50 mph.

When these bikes came out I was too old for their style. In 1970 I bought a new 10-speed Schwinn Continental. This thread has perked my interest in them as I really didn’t know much about them. The web has lots of cool videos.

I think I’m young enough for one now.

I had a 10 speed Schwinn as well. Got it one Christmas. Put rear baskets on it for my paper route.
