The new gun and ammo bills now signed into law are literally sickening! I feel for any Right Thinking, gun owning Californian who now has to deal with this.

Tread lightly here please. I don't want this to get political.

Enjoy your fourth of July Mistered and all other members.

I'm one of those gun owners in Kalifornistan.

6 bills were signed by our Governor a few days ago....we're under assault.

I am being forced to reregister my PWS MK114 as an assault rifle (RAW). This is just the start of what is coming not only in CA but to America if we don't stop the madness.

As for the ammo bill, I will be stocking up big time. I still have to see how to navigate all these new draconian laws so I don't go from a law abiding citizen to a felon with the stroke of the pen. There's a lot to figure out.

Too say I'm angry is a gross understatement.   :!: :?: :?:

Here's a link from calguns for you guys to see what's going on out here.

If the owners feel this is over the line then delete this but you guys really should at least read the first post.

Do you ever have so much to say, that you don't know what to say?

That's how I feel about what's going on out there right now.

Of course a lot of things I want to say, I can't, lol.

The BB=Bullet button was the result of the last set of laws passed a decade ago. To be CA legal we had to use a tool to release the magazine. There is a collar around the release button that keeps you from releasing the mag with your finger. most people used a bullet to stick in there to release the mag.

The idea was to make you use two hands to change mags and slow you down. Now, no more removable mags period unless you register it as a RAW.

Coach,

Thanks for the link. It was pretty informative. We had a similar experience in NY a couple of years ago. They have a website and phone number hot line to answer specific questions in NY. It used to be easier to talk to a real person, but now a real person can still answer a question after a while. From my experience, it took a while to understand the new changes. I'm sure it will take a while out there too.

I appreciate your situation. I understand what you and others feel. Find a place where you can discuss with others and feel free to post a link to it in the other websites area.

It's fine to educate all of us on what is happening in your area. I thank you all for your great behavior here. I mean that sincerely.

I figured you would like that link Dave.

These laws are being added to the already repressive laws in place like the hand gun roster.

CalGuns is a good forum to follow for CA gun information. I have been reading that forum on and off for years. I followed many of the CA gun laws, knew/know some good CA people over the years on forums and in person, wrote about some old CA gun laws elsewhere - gun laws from years ago that some people did not even know WHO put them in action - uh huh, and this latest one when it was passed on a 'holiday' weekend.

The CA newspapers with links to the direct laws are good and so are the CA .gov sites.

CalGuns forum was or IS usually pretty good on posting and keeping up on their upcoming gun laws, current laws, meetings, letter information, .gov links, etc.

I knew/know a couple of old guys on there if their names are the same (?) from some other old gun forums too. Many of the older guys my age or older left gun forums too.

Best wishes to all of you!

Best wishes to all of us since 'IT' is spreading across the country.

Most of the time, many GUN people don't even know what IS going ON in their OWN state or town and by the TIME something has passed or 'voted' on IF at all... those gun people don't KNOW IT until it hits them personally or they do NOT understand what suddenly made some gun or THING illegal. I am not only talking about ONE STATE or CA now. I am talking about all states, counties and cities.

I never owned or really wanted the rifles and some other guns that Some People want to limit or ban since I was into handguns the MOST, d/a and s/a revolvers, a few semi automatic pistols, lever action rifles, single shot rifles, one Marlin Papoose and now I shoot BOLT action rifles using a single shot magazine or a 5 shot magazine.

With that said, I can remember when I got MY FIRST GUN which was a Glock Model 19C and 'some people' had a FIT over ALL Glock pistols even with limited magazine capacities as they had in the late 90's when I got mine. (Older gun laws.) I thought that my magazine capacity was sufficient for my wants/needs but I would not shove what I wanted/needed down any person's throat.

A well placed single shot from any firearm by a Criminal Shooter would do the dirty deed if he was full of intent to harm or kill.

That goes for trucks, cars, knives, ropes, hammers, bare hands, etc. and NOT only firearms when the bad guy or gang wants to do the dirty deed.

Yours in liberty and peace,

Cate
