Three strikes and you out !

My month long struggle to get a vendor to process my order for steel targets will come to an end today at 5 PM.
Only one I have found that has the type and size sillywet AR500 steel blanks I need to finish up my range target build and just can't get him to follow thru with my order.
First attempt went smooth and gave him my credit card info and he said about a week or two. After a week I checked my card status and he hadn't placed a hit on my card. I call up and he said somehow order info got lost.

2nd attempt follows with a promise that he would follow the order thru personally and get it shipped. I wait another week and check my card again
and no hit on the card. So I call again.....

3rd attempt...I called yesterday and he said they were really busy about getting orders welded from a vendor they use.
I inform him again I need no welding just send me the target shape/blanks I need. Only thing special is I don't need hang holes on two
of them. He says no problem he would zap out those two on his cutting machine first thing this morning and get the others out of stock and give me a FedEx Tracking number when he calls me back this morning.

I had great luck with my first order with them around first of the year with no problems but I need these targets now.

So if I hear nothing by this evening 5 PM he's out and look for hopefully another vendor.

I hope so as he is the only shop that makes the cowboy style targets I need.

I miss baseball!

You do know that he will ship as soon as you order from someone else.

Yep that's how it usually turns out. Located up in middle Indiana if it wasn't so far I would drive up there and get it!

I really hate to have to beg someone to sell me something. I have experienced the problems we have right now with lack of employees and extra business and I try to be patient, but you have shown more patience than I could have. I guess if they are the sole supplier that makes a difference.
Good Luck.

Well after several calls I reached the man a while ago. I ask "Do you have anything for me yet?" and he replies that he was just getting my shipping label together and "what's that address again". Hmmm how timely my call was!

He said he had all my order together and ship out FedEx tomorrow. Gave him my email again and he will send a tracking number.....bets on the table!

So we will see if anything shows up in the next 3-5 days. If not we be close phone buddies again and again!

When I receive my order I will post up the company. I spent a good while looking at other target suppliers and this one was only
one I found that had a really great selection of steel targets that meet my needs with a good price.

Hey guys i will check at our shop and see if any AR500 plate stock available.
We have a water jet, laser and older torch type cnc.
If the material is there i get it at cost as its usually leftover from a job.
If not what other type materials will work? We have stuff from tank/troop vehicles and i remember blanchard grinding some battleship steel for a coast guard something.
Im a finish grinder so i dont see much of that type in my area.
But with 28 years i can pull a few favors on the programing end.
Let me know if i can be of service.
