Hope everyone had a great Memorial Day !

Chicken breasts in the smoke and a Coors in hand with Buster keeping the squirrels away made for a great Memorial Day afternoon!
Finally figured out how to cook some nice hickory grilled and TENDER chicken. After a 1/2 day soak in olive oil and spice rub grill off side the coals
and flip and baste with John Boy and Billy's Grillin Sauce which is a tangy sweet and pepper taste.
At 165 F they are done and dribble with honey.....my goodness that is delicious! Knife just sinks right thru when slicing.

Having a good one forty! Simple BBQ: hotdogs with diced onion, mustard/ ketchup, sweet German sauerkraut. Yummy!!
And of course a beer or two or .........Oh, and a Caesar salad the wife made. Stuffed! Hope everyone is having a great Memorial Day! Cheers!

The wife loves lobster, so had to suffer..
through a couple with some Biltmore Pinot Grigio. Was great. Now moving on to my tribute liquor.

Cherry wood smoke chicken breast here with brussel sprouts on the smoker. Brussel sprouts are one of my all time favs. Had a couple Modelos to Salute

We did out thirteen cemeteries in the rain but there were still people waiting for us when we pulled in. We got several standing ovations for our performance, (well, it was too wet to sit down so..........). Finished up about two and then had Coors and Jimmy Johns out of the back of a pick up truck. All in all we felt good about what we did.
Then came home and the Grandkids came out for swimming and grilling. Brats and burgers and then chocolate cream pie.
A good day.

Good idea forty, I have some large chicken breasts thawed out. Think I’ll put them on the smoker.

Didn't do much except vacuum the floors and did the laundry! I'm so boring!
